What is wellness? I've always thought of it as being fit and healthy enough to enjoy your life. However, I've found that it's more than that.
Wellness is Defined as:
(1) The quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort. And
(2) An approach to healthcare that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as opposed to emphasizing the treatment of diseases.
It's more a combination of healthy habits (like good nutrition, regular exercise, healthy relationships and thoughts, etc.) that helps to prevent illness, thus prolonging life.
